Welcome to The University of Mississippi Geoinformatics Center (UMGC).

This Center was created in May 2000 and is primarily funded by the United States National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). There are a number of other agencies which fund specific projects or research that uses the facilities or staff of UMGC. For additional funding information and possible cooperative efforts, CONTACT the Director of UMGC. Many of the data purchases have been through UMGC funds and the assistance of the Mississippi Space Commerce Initiative.

The UMGC is a distributed research center. There are four departments participating in the UMGC effort. The following are the contact persons for the each of the participating disciplines on the Campus of The University of Mississippi.
